Anti Gravity Yoga
Combining Yoga, Pilates and Aerial Fitness, Anti Gravity Yoga (AGY) is a unique fusion of these fundamental disciplines that has been developed as a revolutionary means for stretching and exercising.
Created by Christopher Harrison, a former Broadway dancer and world-class competitive gymnastics specialist who formed the aerial performance team Anti-Gravity as an expression of his love for acrobatics. AntiGravity® Yoga, the first complete program in the emerging exercise field called "suspension training" is the latest creation that stems from his love for inspiring others with his passion.
Practiced in a silk hammock suspended from the celing, AGY decompresses the spine and reduces pressure on your joints, it increases oxygen and blood flow by hanging upside down, enabling you to focus on developing your core muscle groups with gentle exercises that are so much fun, you won't even notice the workout you are getting.
Incorporating centering and breathing techniques used in traditional yoga practice, and utilising the naturally supportive properties of the silken hammock, AGY sessions are a blissfully relaxing way to work out.
